The Original Company buys Fairfield radio stations WFIW-AM/FM, WOKZ

Fairfield, Ill. radio stations WFIW-1390 AM, 104.9 FM and WOKZ-105.9 FM are being sold.

Wayne County Broadcasting announced this week that The Original Company, which is owned by Mark and Saundra Lange of Vincennes, Ind., will take over ownership of the stations once the FCC approves the sale.  That approval is expected to take at least 60 days.

The sale price was not released.

The Langes have elected to retain the current staff of the three radio stations, WFIW reported on its website.

Adding WFIW-AM, WFIW-FM and WOKZ will bring the total number of stations under Lange family ownership to 15. The company also owns and operates the following stations in Illinois and Indiana:
  • WWBL-106.5 FM, Washington, Ind.
