Fewer Cardinals Spring Training games to be televised this year

Fans of the St. Louis Cardinals will apparently have fewer opportunities to watch the World Series champions' spring training games on TV this season.

The Cardinals Nation Blog reports today that only the games between the Cards and the New York Mets (a total of three games) and just one game with the Houston Astros will be carried on TV; and two of those games coincide with the five Cardinal telecasts already scheduled by Fox Sports Midwest.

Fox Sports Midwest is actually carrying more spring training games this year - raising the total from three last year to five in 2012.

Radio coverage on KMOX and the Cardinals Radio Network (which boasts 16 stations serving the Tri-State area) hasn't been announced yet, but in years past, games on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays have been broadcast.
