Don Cornelius, 1936-2012 |
Bounce TV, the new broadcast TV network for African Americans, will pay tribute to the life of the legendary Don Cornelius with Bounce TV Remembers Don Cornelius, a seven-hour marathon of Soul Train episodes, this Saturday, Feb. 4, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
Bounce TV Remembers Don Cornelius will feature episodes from the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s — all hosted by Cornelius, including the very first syndicated episode of Soul Train (1971) which kicks off the marathon, as well as the last episode Cornelius hosted (1993) as the marathon’s finale at 1 a.m.
The network, which airs Soul Train weekdays at 6 p.m., is also adding the series to its primetime lineup beginning Monday, Feb. 6. Monday Night Soul will feature four classic episodes of Soul Train back-to-back from 8 p.m. to midnight every week.
Louisville's WAVE 3 carries Bounce TV on channel 3.3; in Indianapolis, the channel is available on WNDY-TV channel 23.3.
